I am one who usually doesn't read first time authors. That is my loss. Oath Of Six by Shawn L. Johnson is a 5 star book. I was enthralled from the beginning. The character interaction was great and the knowledge of this author was impeccable. This book flowed and was not like a lot of authors who just try to run up a word score. I have started this authors book 2 sequel Serpent Without Skin and was hooked 5 pages in. I hope there will be more from this author cause I am watching for his next releases.Product details

Great first novel by Shawn L Johnson. Set in the rural south, but bringing the reader into a magical underworld, this novel brings mythology and folklore into the modern era. A shaman, seer, traveler, healer, poltergeist-host, wizard, enchantress, magical raven, shapeshifters, and Baba Yaga! I can't wait for the next book!
I wasn't sure what to expect with this book, but it grabbed me after the first few pages. The scale of the events is epic and there are many possible (and interesting!) roads down which the series can continue. I'm very pleased with this book and I will definitely be buying the next one shortly.
I downloaded several book samples to my new . There were very few fiction samples because my reading preference is nonnfiction. When I clicked on the title to sample this story and started skim reading, it really grabbed my attention. It was wonderfully enticing. I loved the flow of events and the writer's imagination is crisp and sparkling. I was enticed simply by the sample.
